As children play on the special roundabouts, clean drinking water is pumped directly from the ground and into a storage tank, ready to be collected from a tap. And because they’re so much fun, there’s never a shortage of children ready and willing to keep the water pumping (especially as most are cunningly placed close to local schools!).
Each PlayPump® costs just £7,500 to install and helps provide enough clean water for 2,500 people. So if we raise enough money through the sales of our Fairbourne Springs and One Water, together we’ll have quenched the thirst of one million people in Africa.
